Lg flash tool error lg usb/parellel

hey guys I am trying hard here to get this stupid lg flash tool working and right when it starts up I get a" lg USB/Parallel lock key is not detected" so I press ok and than it asks for a login id and password were would I acquire one of these and I have been searching for 2 days now. PLZ helpits driving me nuts I am trying to flash gingerbread.

Go into the storage menu in your phones settings menu and unchecked USB mass storage only. That should fix your problem. Typeing this from my newly updated LG Thrill.

AY YO has there been a fix for this yet? i rooted my lg volt with kingroot and i accidently pressed upgrade on the new update and its in a bootloop trying to do the update. Can anyone help? any new information on this Flashtool problem?
