There's no doubt that the LG G2 is a good device and easily competes with other current flagship devices on the market. The unique placement of the power and volume buttons on the rear of the device received a lot of attention and mixed feelings. Now we have the device in a Mini form factor with specifications to compete with other mid-range devices. Here's a quick comparison of the LG G2 and G2 Mini specifications:

LG G2

Display: 5.2-inch Full HD IPS (1080 x 1920 pixels / 423 ppi)
Memory: 32GB / 16GB
RAM: 2GB LPDDR3 800MHz
Camera: Rear 13.0MP with OIS / Front 2.1MP
Battery: 3,000mAh
Operating System: Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2
Size: 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9mm
Colors: Black / White

LG G2 MINI

Display: 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540) IPS display
Memory: 8GB storage (SD card expandable)
RAM: 1GB RAM
Processor: 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core MSM8926 (Snapdragon 400)
Camera: Rear 8MP / Front 1.3MP (13MP in Latin America)
Battery: 2440mAh user-removable battery
Operating System: Android 4.4, KitKat

Given the differences, is this a device that should do well in the mid-range space?

Yes IMO.

EXCEPT for the 1 GIG RAM .

Hopefully the 4G LTE Version with the faster CPU will have 2 Gig RAM.

I have an LG now 4G LTE with 1 GIG RAM and it gets near the RAM
limit and slows and misbehaves a little when free RAM is nearly all used.

Illogical to have a fast Quad Core but only 1 GIG RAM IMO.

Galaxy S4 Mini has 1.5 GIG RAM.

I can live with the Screen Res.

Hope it works 4 G LTE for TMobile

Metro PCS .

Can Carriers request 2 GIG RAM
in their Models easily ?
