Just got my G2 and I am unable to find a way to hide the front facing on screen buttons during web browsing. Does anyone know if this can be done without rooting the phone? I sure hope so because browsing with those buttons taking up portions of the viewing area is a drag....

Thanks for the reply. :) I've rooted in the past with no problems but am curious, how difficult is it to root the G2? Any issues I should watch out for? Do you think there are real benefits to rooting, other than being able to have full screen web browsing?
Any tips or suggestions on how best to root and which KK ROM is best for an AT&T G2? I am sure most of those answers can be found on the forum but i figured i'd ask here. ;-)

My LG G2 is the fourth smartphone I've had and by far the easiest to root. I rooted primarily to enable all screen rotations, but I found a couple of Xposed modules that really help the phone work better - G2 TweaksBox and Greenify.

I could tell you about those modules (G2 Xposed is another one), but you'd be better served by finding out by yourself so you can decide if they would make rooting worth it. Just use Google and the Play Store.

The G2 is very easy to root using ioroot. You can unroot by using LG flash tool and flashing stock firmware.

The benefits of rooting include removing ads (AdFree), flashing ROMs, creating nandroid backup, installing various mods, improved performance, and completely controlling app permissions.

Thanks for all your thoughts on this. I definitely will be rooting. Hopefully it won't be too difficult now that I'm running KK. I did see a thread on xda forum about how to root with a KK G2 so wish me luck. ;-)
