LG G2: Microphone problem

Hi,
I´ve tried all recomended procedure (updating newer software / OS, deactivating noise reduction, checked the main mic function in service mode using mic loopback - OK). Now I´ve tried to deactivate upper noise microphone by putting a bit of adhesive tape over its pine hole. It seems the phone works now much better.

I got the same problem. My LG G4 phone didn't work. When I answering the phone people seem can't hear me like i'm speaking from a distance. After I read a solution in here. I've try used a stright pin to clean the tiny hole next to my head set hole. I clean out a small dirt. Then I try to check my microphon by using a voice recorder. And it actually work! Phew! I nearly set my phone back to a factory setting to solve this issue. (not sure it would work thought ;-p)Thank you so much. xxx

I'm having a real issue with my unlocked LG G2 microphone. My microphone seems to be not working I think as the voice search (google) and any app using a mic (voice recording) and videos isn't working or crashes when I try to record. I've done two things that I think might have changed this. I updated the software version a week or so back and it seems to not have worked since. I also installed a Spanish learning app duolingo which at points I didn't want to use the voice input questions and there was an option to "turn it off" which seemed to then "turn the microphone off" for an 'hour' until it was supposed to come back on. I've deleated the app to no avail and restarted a couple of times. I'm not sure how to access the "microphone" on any of the settings. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have duolingo and the mic thing just means the verbal feedback on app which requires mic wont be enabled fir an hour, thats only limited to the app, your mic isnt actually being turned off, im pretty sure thats not even possible to turn a mic off

Get a pressured air can with a nozzle and get that 8" away from the mic hole and shoot aur at it, itll clean out the hole. I think mine is messed up because u went to beach a while ago and every time i go i always manage to get sand in my devices mic...pressured air fixes all. You can get a can at like home depot or ace or something...
