LG G2 not staying on LTE

Is anyone else having problems staying on 4G LTE? Mine won't hold LTE and keeps going to 4G only. When I go to settings to select T-mobile LTE, it keeps it for a few hours then it's 4G only. I've contacted customer support twice about it, but they just tell me to select LTE.

System Settings
Networks Tab, under Connectivity, select Tethering & networks
Under Network, select Mobile networks
select Network operators
Select Search networks (it takes a bit to search)
Select network you want (i.e., T-mobile LTE)

Not sure what's wrong, this happened to me once with my GS4 also on T-Mo. It changed itself to 4G but after changing it back to LTE it has stayed there.
