LG G2 OTA. Is it real?

Update: Never mind, it's just a minor software change from VS98039A to VS9803AA

I'm getting forced to update via OTA. Currently running 5.0.2. Scouring the net, I don't see any mention of a new OTA.
Anyone else getting an update?

Welcome to Android Central! Thanks for the info. Verizon is usually pretty good about giving information about the update on their website (usually by searching for "[device name] software update"), but this time I can't find anything specific.

I'm also getting the update notification. There is a lot of information out there...is it recommened to update and is it possible to get root on the AA version? Or should I stick with VS98039A and try to root ASAP?

My VZW LG G2 received the VS9803AA software update back in November 2015...I think it was during the StageFright era.
