LG G2 - text messages jump to top text messages jump to top

I do not have a lock screen besides the normal swipes. And I often use the default buttons at the bottom of the main lock screen. When I use the stock text button from the lock screen the text messages jump to the top. Any ideas how to stop or fix this. With out a different app.

i noticed messages jump to the top when you go from landscape to portrait as well. mildly irritating but not a dealbreaker...

It does this to me at least once a day. I have no idea why. Like others said it's not a deal breaker but annoying sometimes.

this also happens to me, I've only noticed it jumping to the top if it switches to landscape and then back to portrait.

This used to happen on my Sony Xperia TL too, although what's nicer about the G2 is it has a quick scroll bar so you can get back to the bottom very quickly. The TL i had to scroll down for like 2 minutes until i got to the bottom.

Anybody found a resolution to this? It's driving me crazy. I tried using another text messaging app but everyone of them has some other stupid issue and/or are so bloated and don't handle MMS threads well.

I find this really annoying also. I've noticed if you press in the area where you would type a new message, it scrolls back to the bottom - but that pops up the keyboard so then hit the back button to have the keyboard go away. This is fairly quick.

This would happen now and then to me as well.

This week I switched to Textra for my texting needs. Seems to be working nicely.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this? I am having the same issue that when the phone is turned to landscape, then back to portrait, it goes to the top. Any help will be appreciated, as this issue can be very annoying.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but I switched to textra. After getting used to it, I tried stock again and found myself liking it better. There's a lot of settings you can change to get the instant reply very similar.

My stock Messaging app does not do this when switching between portrait and landscape. However, I do not have hundreds of messages per thread/conversation so maybe that is why I don't see it.

On a somewhat related note, I use an app called Ultimate Rotation Control. With it, if I were having this issue, I could set it to force the Messaging app into portrait only mode (so that it will not go into landscape). Pretty awesome app: with it I can also allow landscape mode for apps and screens that are natively portrait-only (like the lockscreen).
