Hi AndroidCentral, I'm hoping someone can help!

I'm looking to buy an LG G3 32GB Black. I'm from the UK and cautious of buying a phone online, especially from eBay. I will go with either Three or EE, PAYG.

Can anyone recommend a website that I can purchase one from? Outside the retail shops, Currys/PC World etc.

I understand there is a Korean model and also a European model, but I can't find anywhere that specifically states "UK"?

I did find the model on MobiCity, I checked the Network Bands against 3/EE in the UK and they match? I can't link it as I'm newly registered, it's "LG G3 32GB 4G LTE" on MobiCity.

Any advice/clarification will be appreciated

Thanks! :)

Welcome to AC and to the G3 forum.☺

As far as I know all you've got to be sure of is that the device variant is a D855-EUR. Other variants may work okay, but that one definitely will.
There is a UK member with, afai recall, a 3/32 bought online, who if he sees this will probably jump in with advice.

Thanks for the reply and information belodion

Fingers crossed the member sees this post, just to know where it was purchased from!!

Cheers again, belodion.

After saying I wouldn't, I've resorted to looking for one on eBay, found one sold by "jnl_store", it's from Hong Kong but clearly states EU version?

"LG G3 D855 32GB Metallic Black 32GB (EU Version) UNLOCKED Mobile Smart Phone" from their store. I've checked 4G compatibility charts and it does match?

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - all versions
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - D855
4G Network LTE 700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600

Just found the AndroidCentral review on the G3 EU version... at the time of the review, there were no plans to bring the 3/32GB to British shores? It still doesn't feature at all on the .com/uk side of the LG website, yet appears in other (India for example)

I think I should end this witch hunt and go for the 2/16GB EU/UK model! Software optimised for 2GB of RAM and expandable storage anyway :p

That will certainly make things easier. In that case you can stroll into Carphone Warehouse, for example, as I did, and lay down £479 (I think it still is currently) for an unlocked device. Or any of the other ways of getting a 2/16, from retailers or networks.
I prefer to buy from high street versus online because, if you get a problem, it's easier and cheaper to take it back to a store, than to return it by post to an online seller.

But if you'd really prefer a 3/32, don't give up. Some of the devices shipped from distant lands have no warranty, but there are UK suppliers online as well.

Don't worry about performance of the 2/16 from my experience its just fine.

Storage can be expanded up to 128gb although at the moment I have a 64gb sandisk ultra class 10.

Go get yourself the G3 & Enjoy :-)

I got my 16/2gb from Carphone Warehouse for £400 with a circle case and a 64gb sd card. They wanted £449 for it but I showed them I could get it cheaper elsewhere so they offered it at the price above.

I got my 32/3gb from Argos Germany for just over £400 delivered.

The only downside of getting the phone from Germany is that if I ever have a problem with it will need to go back to LG Germany. The upside is that the phone is a little faster but that may be down to running on art, my 16gb one is rooted with xposed so it is running on dalvik and I'm fairly sure that xposed slowed the G3 a bit. It must be noted that I don't play games on my phone so it is never run hard.

Thanks for all the replies everyone - I totally agree with you on the warranty front belodian, that's my main worry. This will be the first time I've actually gone out and purchased a phone rather than through a contract, so even just for the piece of mind.

I'll pop down to Carphone Warehouse on weekend, from what Will6371 said, I'll have a very strict £400 budget.... ;)

If you do buy from them, bear in mind they might not have it in stock at the store. They're quick though. My Nexus 5 they had in stock; Lumia 1020 they got in the next day although I ordered it after the 5pm deadline; G3 they got in the next day although the sales guy said it might take two or three days....this was when the G3 had just become available.
