LG G3; HELP, I'm just learning..

I'm diving "crash course" into the whole modify/customize my LG G3 and I have learned a lot from forums and articles, BUT I have some questions that I just can't find the answers for... (ex.) I read about the going into Dev. opts. thru build # and changing the temperature settings on the D850 to fix any lag it may have.. One of my ?'s is I have a stock G3 D850 4.4.2 and if I do these little tricks will it void my warranty and most importantly do these tricks work.. Also like changing the "tiles #" in Chrome browser make it faster??? I have plenty more tips & tricks I would like to know more about..

Temperature? One of the first things I do is turn the animations off in developer options.
You can turn them down, but I choose to turn them off. That should help with any lag you have
