LG G3: How can I change the new home screen buttons back to the style prior to the lollipop update?

I recently upgraded to Lollipop from Kit Kat. Unknowingly, I got a terrible UI change. The on screen buttons for home, back and menu key have turned into a triangle, circle and square. Now to me, this is extremely childish looking and I don't appreciate it. Please tell me how to switch the style of the buttons back.

I'd also like to know how to change the home buttons back to the old ones. I upgraded to Lollipop and the buttons changed to the square and circle... ...hate them. I remember having the option to change them in the old version but how do we change the buttons in this new version?

There are different ways to do that, some of them will need root access though. Google for "android change softkeys" and you'll find lots of options.
