Hello, there! So I use a Fire TV from Amazon. But one annoying thing about that? There was this... So while I am on a app like YouTube or Netflix or Disney+, I got an screen that looks like this:

The screen says it was supposed to finish the updates from 1 to 2 minutes, but instead it takes a very long time. The progress bar wasn't even moving. The screen also says "Do not press any buttons on the remote", but instead, clicking any button from the remote, expect the back button and the home button, does nothing, and does not get rid of the screen. How do I disable the Fire TV remove updates, and how do I get rid of this screen? Thanks in advance!

It should only be updating your remote when you're not watching anything, and it should be very quick and shouldn't happen multiple times in a row. It sounds like a glitch.

Restart your fire stick and that should fix it. Try and make it a habit to restart it once a week if you want it to perform it's best 😉

And welcome to the forums! 😃👍

Same issue and never answered it is a fire tv not a firestick
Welcome to Android Central! The issue was in fact answered by J Dubbs back in October 2023 -- did you not see that? He suggested restarting the device (it doesn't matter if it's a Firestick vs Fire TV). Have you tried restarting your Fire TV?

hold "select" and "play/pause'' then the fire device will restart, take out the batteries of the remote and use the FireTv mobile app as a remote, next go to Settings>My Fire TV>About and clicked the "Check for Updates", this can help remove this annoying message
