Hey folks, been using an iphone for about 10 months 5s and wanting to go back to android. I was looking between the g3 or wait it out for the next nexus. My biggest concern right now is signal strength, as I read about the g3 that worries me. Our house has spotty service, my wife got an s5 and has signal most everywhere in the house, and my 5s is not nearly as good. With wifi calling and such for tmobile any android phone will be better than my iphone. Just looking for thoughts guys. Think the new nexus will be worth it or should I hop over to tmobile and get that g3?

I'm waiting for the nexus 6 I think. Currently have the nexus 5. If you are basing your decision on WiFi calling, I should say the nexus phones don't usually support it since they aren't T-Mobile carrier phones. Not sure if the g3 does but if it does and you really want it, I might just go for that.

LG G3. The next Nexus might not be better, we don't have anything regarding specs, which OEM or a release date. If it does exist, it's still probably going to be at least October. Have you considered T-Mobile's test drive (7 night stand)? Obviously that's with another 5s, but that gives you a fairly good comparison to what you know you have now and it could also be tested in a store next to the G3 to see how those two devices compare to each other. It's not the most scientific, but it'd be more so than us trying to guess whether a device on service you don't yet have will be better than a device that doesn't exist (yet) on service that you don't yet have will work in your home ;)

I'm sure the G3 will have better battery lol because they always screw that up with the Nexus.

You can get the G3 and then sell it to get the Nexus.

Didnt even think about the N6 not being carrier to support wifi calling.

I'm on tmobile now with my 5s. I was on verizon and service was just as bad, if not worse at keeping a call.

My Sprint G3 came with WiFi calling out of the box... Works as advertised...

Regarding G3 now or wait for Nexus, if you can wait until the fall, that's my advice... The longer you wait to replace your inferior phone, the better...

More Time = Better Options

For me, the G3 is too big, the buttons on the back are a no no, and I'd rather not have to deal with LG's UI. I have a nexus 4 right now and am waiting for the nexus 6.

In the two days I have owned my G3 the signal on the network and WiFi is superior in the G3 compared with the N5. In fact the nexus 5 is one of the worst phones I have owned at acquiring and holding a signal. I have owned two different N5 phones. I live in a very strong att lte network area.

My signal on the g3 is fantastic. To my suprise the battery is comparable to my g2,maybe a bit better.
I am a female w small hands & LG did a great job w not making this phone seem so big. I must be one of the few who love the back buttons .
I had the nexus 5 also . my signal was weak , my battery was almost always dead .
I don't mind the UI .i use a launcher and whatever icons I am in the mood for .
I am glad i bought this phone!

The phone doesn't feel as big as it is. And surprisingly I adapted to the back buttons in just a few minutes. Idk if having the Moto X (with dimple) helped with this.
