I set the stock alarm clock to go off in the morning, but sometime during the night the stock 'clock app' freezes. I know this because I have the widget up and the time freezes. This sometimes happen when I set the phone on the wireless charging pad overnight.

It's a Verizon version, but I bought the Qi charging back cover on Ebay and replaced it so I could use the Qi feature (because Verizon is so cheap). As a workaround, I've downloaded another alarm app to use.

Anyone else have this issue? It kind of pisses me off.

I am having the same issue on my Verizon G3. It is like the phone wakes up and the time is frozen 10 minutes or more behind. A true inconvenience from what is suppose to be a "flagship" phone! Especially when having an alarm to wake you up on time is kinda important. If anyone has a resolution please share.

I haven't trusted the stock alarm on any phone in a few years now since I had one that mysteriously deleted all my alarms and made me late for work. I've been using Alarm Clock Plus for a long time and never had any problems with it, knock wood.

My experience is that if you have your cell phone switched off the stock alarm clock goes off.
Please try again when your phone is running throughout the day

I can't help regarding the stock alarm clock either; but like Jezza819, I have been using Alarm Clock Plus for over 3 years across several different Android devices and it has never let me down.

Some alarm clock apps break when you move media around (i.e. if you wake up to music), but Alarm Clock Plus has a fallback using an internal sound file -- so the absence/disappearance of your alarm sound won't unexpectedly prevent your alarm from going off.
