LG G4: Are you getting one?

Yup, its the LG-H815! Just need to get it hooked up with T-Mobile. Have to look for that starter Sim kit I bought a few weeks ago somewhere around here, lol.

If interested there's the LTE Discovery app to see what LTE band you're accessing. We should get LTE 2, 4 or 7. LTE b4 most likely. Looking forward to your impressions!

Thanks for the info! Congrats and I'm looking forward to sharing the experience with you as well! :)

My review unit came in yesterday but I left work early and it was at my companies office. THANKFULLY, I have keys to get in the office so I went this morning and picked up my baby!! :D I'm charging and go to try to set it up with T-Mobile. Get back to you guys when I'm all set up. Its a beauty!!!!! :)

So dang jealous of you!!!!!!

Posted on my Moto X that is prob being charged as we speak...

That's nice of them. But how long would I be without my phone, 2 weeks? Whereas, I can buy an extra battery and keep it in reserve (and charged), and replace it in less than 2 minutes.

agreed, but he asked about S6. Samsung does same day service ... but yeah, I wouldn't get it for that reason alone. I much rather have the G4 and swap it in 30 seconds

Pre-ordered my deep blue AT&T G4 from Best Buy. I like the look of the deep blue better than metallic gray and the $100 gift card deal was just too good to pass up.

i've been told that lg performance (hardware and software) will go down in a year.
is this true? this has kept me from pre ordering g4.

thanks

I have a G2 I bought in release day, running Lollipop now and running great! Who ever told you that is full of (language edited by mod). Hell my wife has an iPhone 6 and has me take pictures sometimes for her because she thinks my camera is better than hers.

no the g2 and nexus 5 still run circles around alot of current gen devices. the g4 will hold tight for a few years.

I have a G2 and agree with you, except for my battery. I wish my G2 had a removable battery so I could replace it.

Not true. I've had a G2 for more than 18 months and G Pad 8.3 for about a year. Both look and perform like new devices.

Preordered my Verizon white ceramic through Best Buy. Tried the Galaxy S6 and battery life was brutal (well coming from Moto Maxx) but with replaceable battery, I'm not worried. Can't wait. Would've gone directly through Verizon but after how difficult they made getting the S6, trying a different road. Same price and freebies, plus the $100 gift card don't hurt either.

It has to be better - you can swap batteries. :D

I found a review for the G4 from The Verge. This is what they say about the LG G4's battery:

"The swappable 3,000 mAh battery had no trouble lasting a full day of heavy use, and if you’re less demanding on your phone than I am, it will likely last into a second day. It’s better than the Galaxy S6, which just barely eked out a day for us"

No? I would take it to a BB store and call it a day. Also yes I do not use a landline. I am 27 and own my own house and never have thought about a landline once... ever.

Sorry -- You wouldn't have to replace an entire phone for a battery. By the time a battery goes "bad" most would replace / upgrade the phone. I have never .. ever .. had a battery "NEED" a replacement due to issues. In all my phone purchases. That includes phones with easily replaceable batteries.

Now if you mean for battery life .. I could nab a battery pack and still work out. Nothing beats a quick swap from low battery to 100% (I agree that is the quickest/easiest) -- But you can manage other ways if truly needed.

I see your points. But I'm just a stickler for having a replacement battery handy...especially when I'm on the golf course using the golf GPS app. And now that LG is offering their spare battery kit for the G4...Samsung had better pay attention to all those who've already ordered the G4 or plan on switching, if they go the route of the S6. I just think Sammy is going to want to keep the Note series a separate entity from the S series. One can only hope.

Can you preorder and get the gift card if you are buying at full price?
