Hello everyone! I just bought my Lg g4 on sunday. I didn't notice these lines ar first when I bought it. But after going home... Charging it and then started using it... I started seeing these fine white lines... Like the ones in old monitors. They are not thar noticeable. But still... I had the lg g3 and the display was amazing! I don't feel that hd quality in this phone with those horizontal lines. I want to know if this is normal or it's a fabric deffect. Please answer. Many thanks to all!

I don't recall seeing any lines when I was using the G4. Do you have a picture of the defect? Are you seeing these while doing something specific, all the time, only when the screen is off? Do they move? (sounds like hardware defect, but a picture would help...or a video)

I haven't noticed any such thing on mine - clear as a bell and loving it. Since you just got it maybe you could get it replaced.
Heres a screenshot of mine

This is the closest i can show you what these lines look like. But in this picture they are much more pronounced. They are thinner and they are in the whooole display. Most visible in white backgrounds... it sucks... :(

Yeah... I'm pretty sure it's a deffect. But still... here in my country is a holiday today... so the local in which I bought the cellphone is closed today.. and out of stock of G4. So I have to wait till they get their stock back...and compared it with another one. In here it's super hard that people accept the guarantee... :( I'll go tomorrow morning but I need hard proof that something is wrong with my display!

It looks like a banding pattern similar to what is being explained here
Gradient (banding) - Lagom LCD test

What confuses me is that we can see the banding pattern in your screenshot, even though we aren't actually looking at your display. The screenshot itself should show the desktop as it is rendered by the GPU and shouldn't show any defects caused by the display. In any case, it looks like you received a defective unit. If you live in the EU, you really shouldn't have any issue replacing it.

Can confirm, I have them as well. They're faint, but still noticeable when you know they're there. I've just lived with them.

I have confirmed they aren't supposed to be there. I got my phone changed for a new one! I'm so happy about it... I couldn't stand that display...!!! So... for people having this problem go and claim your rights! =) Thanks everyone!

I have this issue in my G4 as well. When you say you got your phone changed for a new one, do you mean you got a new G4 or a different phone completely? If you got a new G4, was the issue resolved? I didn't see it at first, but since I first noticed it, it's driving me nuts on white screens and other light colors.
