Firstly thanks to James Falconer & the mobile nations team.
So i have received my Lg G4 but its late here in Scotland so not had a chance to fully go through all the features, however this first part will be initial impressions & then my review.
I will keep everything here and wont be creating muliple threads as many have and will be giving their insights.
All real world reviews are helpful & beneficial.
So lets get to it, its your boy flox back again with another video lol
Upon the unboxing its with my standard back version (diamond patterned grey) very similar to the G3. However obviously there are a few subtle differences. For example the optics module is different and there is that noticeable curve.
What i have noticed is the build still being plastic has improved. I remember having the creakyness from the G3, it was still ok but detracted from the overall quality. So the G4 feels solid and that is fanastic and still for me retains that wow form factor, its just slightly taller than my S6 Edge, obviously wider.
So ill move to the Screen and boy is it good, nice brightness levels, colours are accurate and it is a step up from the washed out look of the G3. The subtle curve adds that imersive look and its enjoyable.
The Audio is nice and loud from the rear placement speaker (some may not like the allocation) i having the M9 still much prefer front firing audio however its has nice low levels and a pleasant overal richness.
The performance ok i cant touch upon this much right now but from my little use (setting up & looking around) it seemed snappy and fluid.
There is that Smart features that allows you to set actions as to what happens when say you plug headphones in, or when you arrive at home, leave home or your at work. This looks like a nice and useful addotion.
The Camera looks nice and has a ton of features from pro mode and simple to the standard automatic. I will test this further and post my pictures here.
So my impressions are well if you looked at my G3 reviews i thought that was great in many ways but had its niggles which Im sure the G4 will have (namely the lack of premium materials used, but we keep the removable battery and micro Sd card which is vast becoming rare, oh and we cant forget the real leather backings.
So yeh the G4 looks and feels good in hand and the screen is superb, similar design to the G3 but is that a negative? Thats upto you to decide.
So ill keep this thread updated and if you have any questions or things you would like me to test fire away.
Thanks Again.
