LG G4 hairline cracks. Like the G3 ?

Yesterday I dropped my phone onto the steet coming out of the car. Yes I'm a total butterfingers. I had on one of my new thin fit spigen cases. Of course I screamed and my daughter screamed and asked if my phone broke. When I picked it up it didn't have a scratch. Neither does the case.
Imo That looks like a pretty good fall.

well thats nice.. i was unlucky because when i purchased the phone, the case was still unavailable in my area.. so have to purchase online and got it today

Just think of it as adding character to your device. You can now distinguish it by that mark! Oh and put a case on it! :)

Initially I was so excited about the phone but now I am angry! I have recently purchased as well at a local telco shop here in Singapore, when the accessory phone shop removed the original screen protector it was revealed that there's a hairline crack at the bottom. The best part there is that the phone retail shop doesn't want to replace it with a new one. It was not even used and not even 24 hrs after purchase. They said that I have to pay for the repair. Its so frustrating.... I will never buy LG phones and I will make sure that other people will know how bad their service is.

Need a photo to see this as we did with the OP, otherwise it just sounds like you dropped it or the person putting on the screen protector did it. I have no issues with my LG G4 and have not seen lots of reports of hairline cracks appearing for no reason yet.

I understand that there are a lot of people who will claim that they didn't drop it, Please see attached photos.
As you can see all the stickers are still intact, the bubbles only occurred when the accessory and retail shop lifted the original screen protector.

Btw, the person from the phone accessory just lifted the screen protector - didn't reach the part wherein she will wipe the screen. So there you will see that the phone is flawless all sides except from the low screen (no scratch around it as well)

Please also note that crack is not visible when screen protector is on.

At least you can change the trim at an LG center for not too much while closed phones like S6, iphone 6 and M9 will cost you a leg to change any part of the phone.
Anyway it's plastic and this is how plastic looks after a drop

Sounds like you should be more upset with your "local telco shop here in Singapore" than LG, mate.

The problem is the phone shop and not LG. In Singapore are't there laws that protect consumers? Did you pay by credit card? If so dispute the charges. Good luck!

Phones are not made to be dropped. If you drop it you can't blame build quality.

I have a hairline crack very similar to picture Reyes Guerrero sent. My phone has never been dropped or even set down hard, does not have a scratch on it. I have been using smartphones and PDA's as long as they have been around and have only broke one screen from an incident I was clearly aware of. Nothing remotely abusive has happened with my G4 and I was not even aware of the crack until my daughter pointed it out to me - of course, now, I see it every time I look at the phone. I haven't complained to Sprint yet but every screen problem is considered to be abuse so doubt any positive reply - my first LG and really haven't been disappointed overall but a screen crack is highly annoying as I like my phones naked and still manage to keep them looking new - until now.

Something that just occurred to me is this crack is on the same side and relatively close to the slot to remove the back cover. I remove the back cover about every 2 or 3 days to replace the battery from a heavy use day. Also, my phone has a "Not For Sale" sticker under the battery - anybody else have that?
