LG G4 Hotmail Problem

I just switched from a Samsung Galaxy S5 to the G4. I can't seem to get the hotmail to sync properly. I go through the steps to add a Outlook account and everything works at first but it will not update after I do the initial install. It will bring in my old emails but then it doesn't update. Every time you pull the screen down it shows it is updated but will not bring in any emails. This is my first LG phone and I never had this issue with my Samsungs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've had the same problem - even when I go to MSN.com and open outlook from there it sometimes doesn't show updated mail.

BTW >> I just got an email today to download the Outlook App - it's supposed to be upgraded - not sure if it's gonna help

I'm going to give the Outlook app a shot to see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion. Now it will not let me remove the account. I went to the account page in settings and removed the account but it still shows up on the stock email app. When I try to remove it from the email app it just says removing and then freezes every time. This is my second G4. The first was really hot and had excessive battery drain and now this one has email issues.

I was having the same problem, but only at my work location. Email would update as long as I was home, but never at work WiFi of Network). I deleted app cache per instructions from Verizon rep, but it didn't seem to be consistent. Right about that time, OTA Update 12A came out. Fromm then on, I haven't noticed the problem...have you taken the updates?

Yep, everything is up to date. I cleared the cache and data on the email app and that cleared everything up for a little while but then it stopped updating again.
