LG G4 Photo Quality in low light.

I have the Ringke Fusion case for the LG G4. It is smoked around the edges and the back of it is clear. Please post the link to it if you find it as I am curious what the resolution was. Obviously ditch the case but I am curious if there is a clear case I can pick up that would not have this same issue. I could pick up a colored case that was not clear but then the design of the phone cannot be seen. Odd that I did not have this issue with my Nexus 5 which has a flash and I used a clear case on. Only thing I can think of is that the LG G4 flash is stronger than the Nexus 5 flash. :-\

Thank you for your feedback regarding Ringke clear case cause I was just about to buy it. Have a look at Nillkin thin clear case...in eBay. It is extremely slim and minimal and I think it will not affect your photos plus you will feel and see better you phone's design

Yeah, it looks like light from the flash is bleeding through the case and hitting the sensor. Try some black nail polish and paint the inner edge of both the camera opening and flash opening.

Try using the case you've got. Take a black sharpie and color the edge of the clear case with the marker. Not on the front or back of the case. That little bit of clear inbetween.

I have clear Verus case with the cutouts and it causes flash issues. I never paid attention to this until my kid put a cheap yellow case on her iPhone and the pics with flash were awful and then I realized why a lot of the good cases had a black ring around the Camera and flash. It helps minimize the glare.

I have just bought an LG G4 on the strength of the promise of a mobile with an outstanding camera. Well the results are so disappointing. So much so that I am asking for a refund. The photos are not in focus and just lack colour and impact. I have posted one shot taken with my old LG G3 and the same shot taken with the LG G4. Difference is blindingly obvious. Sooo disappointed. Any thoughts?

I thought the camera was overated. It takes decent pictures, better than the moto X that I had, but I in my opinion, the iphone is much better, as are the Galaxy phones.

Yes, there is very much a difference in the two images.
For the G4 shot, what did you pick as the focus target?

The phone's camera is not going to compare to my DSLRs, but I have no complaints for the G4's camera.

Taken on my G4, straight out of the camera with no editing. Let's just say for a phone, I have no complaints about the low light performance.

There is something wrong with the first pic. It seems like nothing is in focus at all. First thing I would check is if you removed the new phone lens, focus sensor, flash cover plastic. Try cleaning the lens and sensor and adjust the camera setting. If nothing work you may want to return it.... some people had reported some G4 with faulty camera.

Thanks lostchild for the tips. I took it out on Sunday - really sunny day. And at first blush the shots looked okay, but on closer inspection - something smokey/foggy over the shots - and simply not in focus. After a standoff with the seller on ebay it's going back tomorrow for a refund.
