LG G4 : Pictures !

Just took this above our back yard with manual mode 8 sec shutter. Either I have incredible steady hands or the G4 was doing its OIS magic. Who needs GPS when we got the big dipper! ;)

Which of these looks more natural to you?
First was manual mode; I changed ISO, MF and Shutter Speed, 2nd was edited with Auto Levels in PS.

btw, I like Manual Focus option but isn't it hard to exactly focus on the thing you want, when focusing on a small object (plus to get most of it in focus and not a part of it)?
I wonder if in Auto mode I can tap to focus and it will focus like when using closest option in Manual Focus, or will it be longer distance...
Also there is no indicator to know what is the closest you can get to focus on... its a hit and miss, and sometimes I miss good shots like an insect I want to shoot as close as possible and it will take the shot but out of focus

Those are questions all photographers starting out have to figure out. Focus is tough when its not done for you. I personally take multiple pictures moving closer and farther from the subject very slowly and and hoping one of those shots is "the one". With a proper camera, its so much easier using a view finder, but these phones are whole different beast.

I have a bunch of pictures took this weekend, from celebrating a cousins wedding in Ventura at the summer solstice festival to the Griffith Observatory on Fathers Day. All shot in auto mode. Please standby...lol

Up close and personal with flowers:

The first set is all original, no cropping or filters, all done with the manual settings.

This one is a Photoshop close crop (~400%) of another lavender picture, also all done with manual settings.

On auto with bright lamp behind the cat, did some editing.

This is a close crop of the same photo, showing off the G4's outstanding focus and high resolution:
