LG G4 : Pictures !

Some pic from the past week or so.
Have not been able to go outside and take some long distance pictures.
So far the Lg G4's camera is faster to fokus but the oversharpening is killing a lot of photos(like all of them).
Comming from a Nokia 1520, with 2+ sec to fokus but when the fokus finds the correct target the img comes out better over all.

I have been absolutely blown away by the quality of this camera. On auto, it's fantastic. I wish it would keep the ISO lower and bump the exposure time just a tad in auto low light pics to take advantage of the great OIS, but they still come out very good on auto. On manual mode though... WOW.

This is on auto. It is very very dark. The closest light source was probably about 25-30 feet away and it was a low lit porch light.

This is on manual mode, exact same spot. I cannot believe how clear, crisp, and bright this looks. This looks like it was taken in the middle of the day, not at almost midnight 25-30 feet away from any real light source. There were two extremely dim solar lights that might as well have been off. I just got the phone on Thursday so I haven't had a chance to take many pics, but this is unbelievable quality.

This is on full auto.

Powerful sky here in Victoria, BC -- a pretty stormy August day. (Taken in auto, Photoshop b&w & levels.)

Few shots from today Raw - Night- Fireworks- Fun - Long Exposure (2/4segs), (No tripod, so the quality and noise are there, but as for the fun anyway and test ;))

A few shots from the butterfly garden at our local zoo. All shots taken in RAW and converted in Photoshop.

Too many and different wonderful shots. It is probably the best (all around) smartphone camera today. And i'm curious what and how soon, are we gonna see something remarkably better from this.
New smartphones are the reason that the compact cameras market is "dying". The question (i asked the same thing days earlier) is, did someone, with a good DSLR, mirrorless camera, make a vs? I would like to see the difference in shots (in detail level). Portraits, landscapes. Apart of the optical zoom, how much better is a DSLR shot?

I am sure there are many different things (aside from MP) which are different from a smartphone camera and a Mirrorless or DSLR...

Pixel size - When in 100% view, a camera with bigger pixel size will look better/sharper (correct me if I am wrong)

So 1.12 µm for the G4 vs 4, 5 or 6 µm for actual cameras, which also has bigger MP count... the same picture will surely look different and better?

I am not an expert but there must be many factors, and it will be interesting to see a comparison between smartphone camera and a professional, dedicated camera.

There is still a substantial difference between phones and top level SLR cameras. The dynamic range is much higher, meaning there is more latitude for shooting bright scenes without having to resort to "HDR" workarounds. Second, a quality SLR will show clean detail down to the pixel level, unlike phones which still tend to smear and show noise at that level.

Lastly, comes usage. Although today's best phones are much snappier than phones of years past, they can not come close to the speed of today's quality SLRs.

Are you guys having better luck on auto mode with HDR on or off? I am getting some terrible pics in low light conditions...tons of noise and archiving. Not sure if it is because of the HDR or what.
