I really am looking to get the Sony a6000. I just love the size and feel of it and it has just the right amount of functions to do everything I need to get serious about photography. I've always loved the size and versatility of smaller cameras.I have an a6000 and really, they are not comparable at all. a6000 can yield virtually noise free pictures at 3200 ISO shoot usable pictures at 12,800, has seriously huge advantage in dynamic range, has much better control of depth of field, not to mention all the perks of physical control dials, interchangeable lenses and flash mounts etc.
This is very cool. I have an nd8 and a variable nd filter in the house somewhere as I was looking to do some daytime long exposure shots as well as control some of the highlights during the night shots.Just got back from a few days holiday today and got to experimenting with long exposures on the G4. I don't have a ND filter yet so I borrowed a welding mask glass insert off my dad and tested it on some daytime long exposures below.

Had to colour correct this first one a fair bit and its not great still but I'm ecstatic with the result. This was a 4 second exposure.

This one had many colour issues so I turned it to black and white instead. This was a 8 second exposure.
This experience has meant I purchased a Hoya circular ND filter today, which I can use on my Fuji but also tape onto my LG when needed. With a proper ND filter on this thing I'm looking forward to seeing what else the LG is capable of.
Man I'm getting inspired looking at some of these, just really wish I had more of an eye for this stuff!
Interesting how different apps can affect the same picture differently. I recently found out Adobe has a free Photoshop Express app that can edit RAW files, so I compared it to Snapseed because I wasn't happy with how it worked on this image. The main image with my daughter's face on the right is the original jpeg. As you can see, it's pretty blown out, but I liked the overall expression and wanted to try and salvage the image.
