Just thought I'd share a screenshot of my g4 running windows. Had a lumia 920 before but went to android when no Canadian carriers picked up the 950. Love the g4 and android but could never get happy with the interface even running nova pro. Now running WP launcher, IMHO it's so much easier and better as a windows phone !

Umm, well it looks pretty good but it's not 'running' Windows, you just have it tiled like Windows.

Yeah I know, but what I mean it's it it's just like using a windows phone, but with all the advantages of android !

No...sorry it is nothing at all like using a windows phone.......seriously.....not even close.

If you're happy with it - great!

Is it buggy at all? I can see how this might be appealing to some folks.

No, no bugs at all. For those getting their knickers in a twist about it "no seriously it's not like running WP st all...not even close etc etc " lighten up !
If you've ever had WP you'll know what I mean. Everything you need on 1 screen and just a quick flick up or down.
This is a great app, it works just as good as my 920 , with as I said all the great plusses of android. It's free, no adds at all, only a couple of apps in the app list that you can ignore. Give it a whirl I think you'd be surprised.
It's just a launcher after all, installing it won't affect the set up you already have.

Yeah that's the one. Haven't tried any of the others, but I can't see how they could be any better !

I used a similar launcher on my G3 once - I think it was the Launcher 8 WP Style - and liked it very much, but alas, it rendered the lock screen inoperative, so I had to get rid.

I have been looking for a launcher to switch up on an elderly family members phone. Right now they have a Vrzn Droid Maxx2. I normally use Nexus devices, so I put nova launcher on it and tweaked as much as I could for someone not at all adept or physically able to work a touch screen well as they have site and dexterity issues.

I looked at the microsoft launcher and did not really care for it, maybe I need to install the Launcher 8WP one.....

I need it to be just as easy to navigate from start (home screen selections) and then continue ease of use when in basic apps such as contacts, phone dialer, text app, and photo and camera functions. The problem the person has is that they are overwhelmed by what to touch next when inside an app. Too many iconography and things that are very hard to decipher at such a knowledgeable level.

I tried to set this person up with one of my windows phones to start out with....but they wanted an android phone after looking at a few choices....and this is cumming from this person having briefly used another family members iphone.

Long story short......I would love to over simplify the UI not just in launching apps.....I know some android phones have a "simple or basic UI" switch you can set off (like my LG G4) and then it sort of lays out the UI in a "car dash" looking mode.

I will try this launcher and see if it fits better than what is now on their Maxx2.

Ok, just installed on my G4.......interesting. It does change the quick settings drop down UI somewhat so that is promising. I didnt think this was going to happen with the LG UI. So far this seems much much better than the few Win type launchers I have tried.

I will play with it for awhile and then test it on the Maxx2 in the next day or two.

Windows phones had great camera but I never did like the metro interface with tiles and such I'm kinda glad it burned up and Microsoft isn't doing another one although good luck to HP

They could have been great but lack of app support among other things

I've had several lumias just to try them out until better phones came out (Note 4 and the LG-G4)

Although I love DirectX12 I kinda miss Windows 7 a little and I'm actually more happy that 10 is their last OS haha more time to focus on it
