LG G4 Stuck on boot, how can I get it out of it?

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot, how can I get it out of if?

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that this started happening in large quantities after new year's?

I also spoke with LG Customer Service and same with me, they asked me to send them the phone without the back cover, or SD card or SIM card, just the phone alone that they would pay for shipping and I have to provide the box and that the process would take 7 to 9 business days.

This is sad to be honest because of the fact that I'm a big time LG fanatic. :(:(:(

The same thing happened to my phone about a month ago - had T-Mobile support decide it needed to be replaced. That's fine but unless you have JUMP they charge you a 20 dollar processing fee and if you want you phone quickly (before 7-10 days) they want t charge you a shipping fee of another 20.00.

A lot...... is two words.

Sorry for the incorrect spelling.....

North Korean President and his executive branch.......has something to do with the LG G4 getting stuck in a loop and we cannot even delete our information in the phone because it is stuck on the LG Android screen....just saying...you never know...cyber-war......there is alot of LGG4 phones has a issue all at the same time....kind of questionable....and there must be alot of important infomation on those phones (including my LG G4 phone), that we couldn't even open to erase or download our information from the phone. Because it's stuck on that LG logo ....you never know what's going on these days with all this electronic stuff...I know I must sound paranoid, but just saying my thoughts as it relates to this outstanding and unacceptable problem.....

Dude, you have no clue what you are talking about. Bringing politics and a third-world leader that hates America into this discussion is just dumb. My phone was shipped back to LG's third-party repair facility. This is another company, not LG, that works out of Texas and handles all of the repairs. The entire time it was being worked on it never left Texas until it was shipped back to me. To say North Korea got an American company to pull motherboards and memory chips and send them to them to steal my data is insane. This is very clearly a hardware issue and unless you think North Korea is spying on your other electronics right now then it should be obvious that this is just one of those things that happens, it sucks, and thankfully LG is resolving any that break. If you still feel the way you posted before, I suggest you sell every electronics device you own. They might be spying on you!

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot

Don't you think its questionable, that mostly all issues with LG G4.... With re-booting issues starting happening in clusters within the last 60 day's....you will never know.... The whole picture....but I surely won't be surprised...if North Korea....is implementing cyber- war... By crashing our LG G4...just a thought....

Ok you've said it... move on! You are the only paranoid one here thinking that. This thread is to discuss a hardware failure in the G4's that has been identified by LG with people trying to help anyone find a way to get to their data. Take your political garbage elsewhere.

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot, how can I get it out of if?

I managed to get my LG G4 up and running again backing up my data not cloud synced as yet to be safe. This phone has given me the best and worst moments so far as I love it but worried it is going to crash on me.
Steps I did to get it to boot was as follows:
1) remove battery and wait for it to cool down
2) use my original charger and connect it to my quick charge power bank as I don't have a normal quick charge adapter.
3) leave it to loop until it optimised all apps I'm just happy it's on again will update you of anything changes.

So back I can't factory reset I do however get it on to get my data as said but dies randomly not sure why I can use it some of the time but too much of a mission using my second sell for now LG has to be replaced contacting relevant party's to see how long it's going to take for my replacement phone.

This just happened to my LG G4 tonight. SN 505 too. LG website says they'll fix the problem if I ship the phone but not looking forward to being without a cell for several weeks.

LG is South Korean......

Also, what does North Korea and its leader have to do with our phones failing to start up properly?

Please use the tinfoil hat somewhere else.

Maybe wrap the phone in tinfoil? :)

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot, how can I get it out of if?

Just happened to TWO of my G4 phones within 3 Days of each other!! Did you know- LG was Bonusing the Sprint Sales reps an EXTRA $20 per phone to sell the G4 over the Summer. They Knew by then this phone was Garbage. My Daughter's phone had a Boot issue in early August- less than a Month after purchase. And Sprint had them on Backorder then! They wouldn't give us any "New" stock from the store. After this Marshmallow update- I think that was the Death Knell! Buh Bye LG! You suck Sh!t....

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot

1.5 weeks in. Still no ETA on completion.

I'm gonna ask if I get a replacement instead.

If I could, I'll likely have another G4, though if they'll allow me, might go with the V10 or XPERIA Z5.

I don't want to go to the Z5 because the camera processing on it can be all over the place at times, but I'm pretty weary of LG's quality control right now, so much so that I'm actually concerned about the V10.

Mmmmm, Android Smores....

Kinda hurts, right? After the Optimus G and the Nexus 5, I fell in love with LG. This is the first issue I've had and I'm gonna give LG a shot at redemption with the G5, and I have faith. I get the impression their proud of what their about to unveil at MWC.

I hope their quality control improves significantly.

The bootloop issues with the G4 has made me weary about other LG devices in terms of QC.

I didn't consider any current Samsung device because they lack expandable storage.

Mmmmm, Android Smores....

Jason, can you provide a link to where on the LG Website they say they'll fix the problem if you ship the phone?

Re: LG G4 Stuck on boot, how can I get it out of if?

I have a LG G4 (from T-mobile) and it has been stuck in the boot screen where it says "LG Life is Good". It gives me that screen for couple seconds, goes black, and comes back to that screen again. It is continuously stuck in this loop, and the only way to get out of it is taking the battery off. The phone does not have any custom rom installed, everything is as it was from factory settings (including launchers etc.)

I have tried hard reset with button combination but did not work. Any suggestions?

I have a he same issue t mobile says that it is a coo men issue with lg4 phones and lg is aware of it. The problem is the lg is a unlocked att phone and it can be fixed but lg says when it is it will be locked again. I just hope att will give me the unlock code again.
