LG G4 wont turn on but the notification light continues to flash

Today my LG G4 phone shut off, I've only had it for a few months and it's worked great. i thought the battery had died, but the notification light was still flashing which i thought was weird. I plugged it into my charger a couple hours later but it still wouldn't turn on. that was hours ago and the notification light continues to flash green but i cannot turn on the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Try pressing and holding Power for at least 15-20 seconds to see if it power on. Conversely, it might also cause the LED blinking to stop, in which case you actually forced a shutdown. In that case, press and hold Power again to see if it powers on normally.
