Has anyone had success using AA and the G4? My phone cant figure out if it should charge or transfer data, and gets stuck in a loop going back and forth. It does not connect to the AA app.

Yep. Been using it since Day 1. What carrier are you on?

I can't think of any settings that I haven't touched. On my S6 and Nexus 6, as long as the app was installed, it automatically started the aa ap on the phone.

Also not working on my Verizon unit but works on my T-Mobile one.

my wife and I have new LG G4 phones andriod 5.1 had to use developer options enable USB Debugging....stay awake...MY phone connected to android auto every time...hers would not.... also had to get usb cables 2.1 amp,,,, my phone worked fine until last night...now neither phone will connect...I get a message that flips...USB Installer...... other andriod 5.1 os phones work fine....seems itis an issue witht the usb connection with the LG? Google...Verizon.....called em.... no answers..... ideas anyone??

Using Android Auto on my Verizon LG G4 with a Pioneer 4100nex with no problems. Did not have to enable usb debugging or do anything special. Phone is not rooted, no firmware update on the Pioneer. Also, I could be wrong about this, but amperage shouldn't be cable dependent, rather it usually depends on the source, in this case the circuit in the transformer.

On verizon with the g4, both phone and radio have newest updates, and i had to turn on usb debugging in the developer options to get AA to work, but i also found another issue, after it worked the first time when testing it, i went back to use it the next day and it didnt, as i was going to unplug the usb cable it shifted just enough that it started working. i replaced the cable with a new one and have had zero issues after. So if you have any problems, wiggle the cable attached to the phone. Never know, it might work
