LG G5 Slow share Icon in Gallery.

Hey folks, just wondering if any of you are experiencing the same as me? When I press the share icon in the gallery it takes around 8 to 14 seconds to load the sharing options. I haven't factory reset my phone yet to see if it solves it. (Hoping I don't have to) Don't know why it's started doing it. I'm using Nova Launcher. I tried switching back to stock launcher but does the same.

Does that lag happen in any other app that has a Share button? If not, then try going to Settings>Apps, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then reopen Gallery, wait a few seconds for the database to regenerate, and see if the lag persists with the Share button.

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. No the lag doesn't happen in any other app. I've cleared the cache in the gallery app and still persists. Tried searching online for a solution but i've only saw 1 post about it on reddit with no replies. Factory reset seems the only way.

Hi there. Yeah booted into safe mode and it still happens unfortunately Any other ideas?

Are most of your photos on an SD card? If so, I wonder if that slows things down.

Hey there. Tried moving everything to device storage aswell but still the same. It used to work exactly the same and would come up straight away wether my files were on my internal or sd card. Just realised it also happens with the complete action using' option aswell. The pop up menu takes a while to load up. For example if i click on a. pdf it'll take long for the menu to pop up displaying what to open it with, same with video. It's really weird as the phone doesn't lag at all anywhere else and runs smoothly.

Since it happens in Safe Mode, then the main thing left to do would be a factory reset, as much of a hassle as it may be. Sorry!
