LG G5 *WORKS* with Android Auto

Thanks for the info - I'm really trying to think of a reason not to buy the S7 edge, but I don't think I can wait on the G5 or M10

Updating: Works great with a retail T-Mobile G5. Haven't tried the AT&T one I have yet, but I have no reason to suspect it won't.

Verizon — as always — will be the real question.

Phil have you had any issues with the G5 charging while connected to Android Auto? It seems mine is losing battery life while it is connected.

It's certainly possible — this ain't quick charge.

I just had a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX installed. I have the LG -g5 . it will pair with the system and play music with Bluetooth. When I attach with USB, Google maps will come up and work for about 30 seconds then the screen freezes. I can unplug it and plug it back it again works for 30 secs. then freezes. any ideas?

I have the same issue, contacted Pioneer and the unit doesn't support USB 3.0. Only 1.1/2.0

I am experiencing the same issue on my G4. My solution is, though the map stops refreshing, navigation voice is still working, which you can still rely on. And pay a little more attention to the map. If you notice it not refreshing, simply hit the map icon at the left bottom corner. It should be back online.
Shame on LG, not even a word with this.

I think you're describing a feature of Google Maps on AA. If you move or resize the map it stays where you have it until you touch the "recenter" icon to track your location on the map again.
