Hi I picked up a 2nd hand g5 mainly for the camera, the problem I have with it is even after I remove the USB lead I keep getting the drop down menu asking what I want to do, eg charge the phone, transfer files etc, the menu is constantly dropping down every few seconds, is there any way to turn it off or is it a default with the phone, it seems to register a USB adapter even though its not connected

Welcome to Android Central! There might be some debris stuck in the USB port; otherwise, the port might be faulty. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the port, and a toothpick to root around to make sure nothing is stuck in there.
