Some lock screen questions...

1. So I guess the days of being able to put widgets and weather on your lockscreen are over? Why can't I add these things?
2. Is it absolutely impossible to have Google Pay without using a PIN or pattern to unlock? I just want a swipe and I should be allowed to choose the security level I want.
3. How can I tell apps to send notifications to the lock screen?

Lockscreen widgets went away with Lollipop.

I'm pretty sure Google Pay requires that degree of security. It is your money that they're trying to protect, after all. I use the fingerprint sensor on my Pixel 2 XL, which is fast and convenient.

For lockscreen notifications, go to Settings>Lockscreen>Notifications​ and make sure they're not hidden. (The menu structure might differ depending on the phone variant.)
