LG G6 Auto Brightness

How do I keep my phone from automatically turning the brightness up and down? The box next to the auto brightness is unchecked. Everytime the light goes on or off the brightness changes. I want to stop that from happening.

Maybe you have enabled dim the display before turning off after etc. 2 min, and when you unlock the phone the display do gets brighter.. But you can't stop that you can only disable auto lock screen..

Yeah I've looked at all the settings for the display, can't find anything to change that.
If that box is unchecked when you pull down the notification, it should stay right where it's at. Strange. Thank you though.

Yeah idk my auto brightness is also disabeled i too don't like that.. Hmm, did you try to google it ?
