LG G6 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures

50 mph down the road after picking mine up. Focus seemed to pick up and do a quality job. Feel this will be a nice camera.

So far not happy with the pictures. I've compared it with my Pixel XL and the G6 leaves a lot to be desired. I'm going to hold out for the software update and see how it performs after that. If it's still the same, I will be returning the G6

Mine has been very good. Low light I'm getting as good or better results than on my s7 edge.

Well thats totally different than T-Mobiles number. Ours is H87210b so hopefully there is an update that fixes this sometime soon. Granted Verizons numbers are going to be different than at&t, t-mobile etc but I wouldnt think it would be that different at launch. Ive been wrong many times before though.

After playing with it and trying to capture decent pics on auto of my toddlers it's just as painful and pointless as my V20 was. And I'm not wanting to preload my manual setting to make it work Everytime.

The still pics I've taken with the G6 are on par with any phone out, and I've owned them all unfortunately.

Here's some pics I took of random things on my dining room table after it came in today. The first of each is the "auto" setting and the 2nd is "manual".

This one is just a close-up

I'll be going to a cheer competition this weekend so I think I'll be able to give the "motion" pictures a good challenge.

It's a very good camera. The blurry low light thing is a software issue that will be fixed. Let's not forget this phone hasn't even been released yet. The early shipping is done intentionally to gather feedback on any bugs or software issues.

If this were just a terrible camera, I'd agree that it's a done deal. But its actually a very good camera with a software issue.

I find that the camera does great with stills, but it has motion blur issues indoors or low light. On an older camera I fixed that by using sport mode, but this camera/phone does not have it. Are there any good camera apps out there that anyone has tried?

would like to read/know your opinions on these five pictures taken with the G6: night time building with normal and wide angle, 1 night time shot and, pictures of the sky at 15,000 feet in normal and wide angle. all pictures were point-and-shoot on auto mode. i consider these pics to be very good for my needs/uses. thanks for your replies/input.

They look fricken good to me! :)

I'm not really sure what the varying degree of quality... youtube reviewers have been positive on the camera but examples don't lie and can be a bit off. Seeing quite a few i do believe the G6 does overprocess the pictures at times or whatever the term is. But I think it's a solid camera that could use a fine tune to be a really really good camera. That switch over to wide angle lens is neat and gives the setup something unique.

The rest of the phone looks like a solid performer. Interested in full reviews to hear battery life.

I've been using a google Pixel for a while now. Before that I used an LG G5 and I have to say that I miss the camera on the G5. Both the standard camera and the wide angle. I think the Pixel takes better daylight HDR shots but I got much better night shots with my G5 using manual mode and adjusting ISO, WB and shutter speed to my liking. The lack of a manual mode on the Pixel is driving me crazy.

It would be interesting to see a comparison between the Pixel and G6 where manual mode is used on the G6.

I'll be watching this thread for sure.
