LG G6 very slow when updating apps

I have not used my LG G6 in a few weeks, powered on and its slowly updating a bunch of apps
but an app will get to 100% downloaded and then....nothing--just sits at 100% in the google play store

I've rebooted, I cleaned the cache....I've stopped the update of 30 apps and trying to do one at a time, but still super slow.

Any ideas? As I am waiting for phone to work through this, I went to the One plus one site and debating downloading a phone with FAST software..

I have seen the same thing when I have just a few to update on my S8+. It looks like one app will just hang for some reason, and that puts a stop on everything. I've cancelled that one and then the rest just go on with everybody happy. You might be seeing some thing similar with that many updates. Also may be overloading the phone's memory.

Disable the GOOGLE app
this seems to fix it--it fixed mine..
but it does disable some useful features.....but at least the apps can update and install
hopefully a patch is coming soon--it would seem people have been having issues since a late june update...

if you have lookout installed, its set to scan everything as it comes in....when i disabled that, it helped greatly. I still have it scan my phone on a regular basis, but i didnt see a need to have it scan everything that gets installed
