Lg G7 "home" app battery drain

I'm noticing that the top app battery consumer is my home app. I did see a thread about this on xda. Anyone here seeing this?

Nope, not here. My home usage is low. I get really good battery life.

It's not too shabby. I'm always on LTE, keep my brightness at around 40% unless outside then it's on auto. Aod turned on from 5am to 10pm. Never use battery saver.

I noticed at first the Home usage was very high, but about a week or two later it's not even on the map. Seems to have gotten itself under control

I have the weather forecast widget on my screen. There only other widget I have on screen is calendar.

during the first two or three weeks I was getting close to 6-6.5 hours battery with home app battery draining around 12%. Now I can barely go past 4.5-5 hours and home app gets around 20-30% minimum. AOD is off, weather and calendar widgets are on, brightness below 50, I don't play any games, most of the apps are just sitting there, didn't download any more apps since then except spotify and most of the use is on social media and youtube. Haven't really changed my habits from day one and that's why I am curious to find out what's draining the battery. All I can think of doing wrong is letting the battery go below 5% a couple of times when I had just bought it, which again does not justify 2 hours less battery life now.

I'm having the same problem. I just got an LG G7 ThinQ and the home screen drained like 40% of my battery yesterday. I disabled the motion wallpaper to see if that helps. I also run the default weather app and changed the home screen to act more like traditional android with and app drawer. Funny thing is, my fiance got the same phone and is not having this problem.

I'll keep an eye here for any fixes.

I was saying that I never use battery saver, not that anyone else shouldn't.
