LG G7, Sprint status bar info is too small for my old eyes.

How can I make the status bar fonts and symbols larger without changing the font size throughout the phone? Short of downloading new fonts and experimenting, I can't seem to figure it out.

The only way I know of is to scale the entire thing. I did this, and loved it, except for the fact that it took the battery % indicator out of the status bar. That bothered me too much so I went back to default.
