Lg G7, switching between lens while recording

Does anyone know if it is now possible to switch between the wide and normal lens while recording? I was unable to do this on the display unit at Tmobile.

Yeah you can't for some unknown reason. Maybe because both of the lens are now 16mp. I'm not sure but LG has decided to disable it.

I would contact them on Twitter and ask about it. Not saying that it will actually result in any changes but I did inquire about 4k60fps recording and they follow up with me although I was skeptical about their response. However, LG will be releasing that capability in a near firmware update. So it's worth a shot if you care about it.

My LG V20 LG-US996 has the ability to switch between lenses... seems as if LG decided to disable it I guess with the G7? Maybe an update might include that.. try reaching out to the engineers.. or maybe you can install the old version of the camera app but I doubt it'll work..

V35 shares the same camera / software as G7 so this applies. Likely will not occur in V40 either...



Very sad as probably an end to a long run for our family with LG until our kids grow up (8-10 years). Such a useful feature gone bye bye.
