Lg g7 Thinq select USB configuration.

Hello all,

I have a lg g7 thinq android 10.

When I plug my phone in my laptop it only charges and I receive a warning from the laptop that the usb hardware is damaged. Tried different cables different laptops I already made a factory reset without anu succes.

I am also not able to press on the usb configuration on my phone when I press it I can see a pop up but it goes away again in like a half second.

Can someone pelase help me

Welcome to Android Central! The fact that you're getting a warning that the USB hardware is damaged doesn't sound like a good sign. Can you try connecting the phone to another PC to see if the same thing happens?

Thanks for your reply, I tried it but it did not worked. I am still not able to choose usb configuration settings.

I can see the pop up when I press on it and if you look in to the popup it is on ` charging only`but the popup just dissepears in a half second so you dont have no time to change te settings it makes me mad .

Thanks for the reply I trıed with 3 dıfferent computers and 3 dıfferent cables wıthout any succes.

When you press on ıt ıf you look closely you can see that ıt ıs on chargıng only but ıt just dıssepears and no tıme to change ıt.

Use a can of compressed air to blow out the USB port on the phone, then use a dry toothbrush to brush it out. If the problem persists after that, then I would still suspect that the USB port is damaged or faulty.

Can try developer settings >usb debugging section
