Does anyone know where abouts the lg icons are stored in the phone?

In general, icons are embedded in the apps themselves, and not stored as separate graphics files.

What about icons where ive changed the icon image myself through the phone?

Are they icons you loaded from another source, or ones that were built-in to the phone? If they were built-in ones, they're probably in the launcher application, or embedded in some other code. While I haven't inspected a whole bunch of phones, I've yet to see one that stores icons as individual jpg or png files.
