AC Question

This problem is so [language redacted by Mod] annoying. I've gone through 5 android phones all due to problems like this or similar. When I plugged my phone in to charge, it would go down instead of up. So I went to reboot my phone to see if that would help and of course, I'm not able to turn it back on now. It just flashes a screen that says "Charge phone more before you can turn on." With 0%. I've had this phone for not even a month and it has problems. It's not the charger because I've tried several and they are new. When I'm actually able to get my phone to turn on, it will work for a minute then spazz the HELL out. Like apps are flying open and closed, music will turn on and off, the slide down bar slides down, all without me touching my phone at all.. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! This has happened with 5 different phones, or do you mean that you've had various problems with 5 phones, and this is currently what you're dealing with?

Are you plugging it into a wall outlet or a computer USB port. Are you leaving it alone when you charge, or are you actively using the phone when it's charging?

This happened to me today. I've had the phone (LG K7) only for about 6 weeks. First time it ever "inverted" the charging rate and went to 0% as I was charging. I had it plugged into a laptop USB to charge it and had it tethered for laptop internet use via my T-mobile mobile data and was using an app at the time. It totally flipped out. 15 or 20 apps rapidly opening, closing, music going on, all sorts of extremely spastic crap, then i panicked and unplugged it and held down the power button hoping to just "escape" the nonsense. It is bricked now. Will not charge. Will not turn on. Sounds like the same issue. Happened to me one hour ago.

I've heard of software glitches in Chinese phones bricking during charging, but these "legit" but cheaper phones seem to have the same serious software problems. Waaa? Reeeallly?

Hi This has never happened to me.I've had the phone (LG K7) only for about 8-10 weeks. It was on 5% I tried to charge it asap my otha charger had a shortage and I thought it was the charging port anyway phone went to 0% as I was charging. I had it plugged into a flat screen wit USB to charge it and had it tethered all night i thought it was charging the whole time. That morning it was completlety dead then i panicked and unplugged it and held the power button hoping to just "escape" the nonsense. It is bricked now. Will not charge. Will not turn on.

My Boyfriend's Phone Is Doing The Same Thing , Have You Found A Solution ?

Some thing like that happened to my (LG-K7) except before it (died) it went crazy my flash light turned on my apps where going crazy and all sort of crazy ****. And then i tried charging it with a perfectly fine charger that allways works and it would not charge at all i waited 2 hours still it was dead. I was scared it was bricked! But then i did some research and found many poeple who said to heat your battery with an air dryer for 5-10 mins. To heat it up so it has juice to turn it on. I did that and still did not work! But with it being on the charger for at least 3 hours it finally turned on and said 3 percent charged. But everytime the battary drains all the way it does that. Only some times my screen will go crazy before it dies.

I have a lg k7 also and I had just had a small issue with the phone, it usually happens when have it on the charger and it slowly starts to die. The best things to do is shut it down when you see that it is about to die. My phone would not charge for a good 20 mins so I readjusted my port and did anything I found on the internet. A thing you could try doing is getting a battery charger instead of just ports because it seems the phone itself can not work well with it. Also don't charge it and use a high energy app or wifi hotspot. That is the reason why it is dying while you are using it, try to keep your phone on a good level ( above 15 percent) once you it is dying the best idea is to shut it off and let it charge up to 100 or to a amount that works for you. The reason it is spazzing out is the battery controls a lot of the phone and the hardware is getting confused because the battery is on but it dying or technically dead. " Do not let it reach 0 percent if it on 3 and it went to 2 SHUT IT OFF" also if you may notice that it could get hot and that Itself causes issues with the phone so make sure you have the phone on a cool surface. I would say always have a battery charger unless the phone you have doesn't let you take the battery out. Also get the warranty if the place offers it because phone are unpredictable just like everything else in this world.

I hope this was some help.
If you want to learn about re adjusting your port there are many yotube videos that can guide you :)

I ACTUALLY HAD TO DOWN GRADE ON BATTERY TO KEEP IT FROM OVER HEATING Li ON BATTERY 1820 mAh stopped the reboot problem it was suggested by my repair guy

I have had this happen on two different LG phones now. My solution that fix both of them was to Simply remove the battery and put it in the freezer overnight. For me it was not Hardware or software related it was using a battery draining app I guess. But if you put your battery in the freezer overnight let it freeze solid and then thaw out some in the morning maybe for about an hour and then put it back in and charge it without the phone turned on let it take a full charge you should be good to go. It's definitely worth a try hope this helps.
