I tried Google and Swiftkey.....Swiftkey is better to me. But they are both better than LG's.

Question though...it says I have the LG keyboard installed. So I go to the playstore to get the Google keyboard And it says installed behind it. So is the LG Keyboard really just the Google keyboard?

I like it for the themes but also the main thing is it syncs my saved words / how I type to my Google Account via backup. Therefore when I go to a new phone or whatever the keyboard already knows how I type and the words I have trained it to know .

For all those a fan of SwiftKey, search for Super SwiftKey on XDA. Same great keyboard, but with many user created themes. There's even an LG theme which I like.

You need to enable in the setting. It's not there by default

I use Fleksy. Once you get or tweaked and give it a week to learn your typing quirks it is outstanding. Some may miss swipe typing, but I never did well worth that.

YES.... FINALLY... THANK YOU. Only thing Is all that work and the buttons are so small my fingers mistype a lot. That along with nerve damage does not help either. I'm still going to try it for a bit and hopefully get better with it. Thank you for taking the time to help. I appreciate it very much.

I've fussed with LG's KB on when I had a G3 and my wife had a G4... never liked it. Seemed fussy and jerky and just didn't run right or predict right, etc. I've always found Swiftkey to be total crap. It works OK the first day or two, then it starts to get a crazy amount of lag on launch, starts to stutter and freeze, and text correction AND prediction get worse the more I've used it. I keep loading it up from time to time to see if they've improved but I see the same pattern. I just stick with Google Keyboard. It's reliable, doesn't freeze up randomly and the text correction and prediction doesn't degrade.
