LG L41C - Fried by Lightning - Can it Be Fixed
So, today I'm hiking at 7,000 ft and a lightning storm rolls in. My phone is in a waterproof pocket. When I get back to the car I take out my phone to take a picture of the hail and the trail which has become a stream. My phone is vibrating and warm. I can't anything on the screen. Back home a couple of hours later my home screen has partially come back. I can't turn the screen off. The phone is now very warm. And, get this, if I look at the screen from a low angle I can see what appears to be a graph of the electrical discharges. The spikes range from 1/4 inch high to almost two inches. How close was the lightning? There was no pause between the flash and the thunder. Pretty close. Is my phone fried? Or, will it come back to life?
