LG lg3 phone I have to place it on speaker to talk!! HELP

LG lg3 phone about 1/12 years old. I can not receive incoming calls or out going unless it is on speaker help help

Welcome to Android Central! Does it also work with wired or Bluetooth headphones? If so, then the primary mic may be faulty, or the mic opening might be blocked or clogged by something. Make sure the primary mic isn't covered by something like a case. You could also try using the tip of a safety pin to gently scrape out the mic opening. If this doesn't help, then you may have to bring it to a repair shop to replace the mic.
