LG Marketing should have called it "Knock knock knock"

I think if the marketing team at LG had called the feature "Knock knock knock" from the outset, there would be a lot less unhappy people with that feature. I've found if I just tap the screen 3 times whenever I want to turn it on, it works 100% of the time. :D

Hehe fair enough. I'm staying optimistic that it'll be improved in a future software update to the point that it is 100% reliable.

After a couple days I think I've found the right combination of speed and force to have it work 99% of the time LOL. Surprisingly, I've found the button layout comfortable and easier to use sooner than I thought I would. No accidental presses and I've easily turned the volume up and down while on calls and took a couple pictures with it.

Knock on for me has become an exercise in trying not to shatter the glass. It just is not reliable. Knock off is fine.

If you tap smack dab in the center of the screen it works just fine. I believe one of the first use quick tips even said as much.

mine works about 99.8% of the time, never have any issues. 2 gentle taps and the screen comes on.

I'll have to try the 3 knocks trick.

Mine only seems to have issues when it's been inactive for a time. Knocking to turn it of always works for me.

Try knocking just above the LG logo at the bottom to turn on. Seems to be more reliable for me.

I've noticed that you have to tap twice in the exact same area. If i'm moving around a lot and do not tap in the same exact area as the first tap it doesn't work. Once i learned to make sure both taps are in the same place on the screen it works fine for me now. I also make sure i don't tap to fast.

Maybe this is a false positive (or something similar) because of use, but I have the same inconsistencies for knock on... But knock off always works perfectly, two easy taps... What's up with that?
