My phone screen has been unresponsive all day. It started out being unresponsive for a minute or so, not so often. But now, I can't even log into my phone. When I try to put my password for my lock screen, it's as if I'm not even touching it. It won't respond to anything. The side button work totally fine as I have tried to hold the standby button to try to restart my phone. But I can't even tap that. I don't know what happened. I've tried pulling my battery out and then turning it back on after putting the batter back in. I've tried doing that without a SIM card. But nothing seems to work!

Welcome to Android Central, and that sounds like a problem! Any drops recently? It sounds like it might be a hardware problem. If you really can't access anything, you could try a hardware reset following the instructions at the bottom of this link: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-7079

i tried the hardware reset, but it's still the same. i can't even press Next on the Welcome to Startup Wizard.

Welcome to Android Central! Probably a faulty digitizer. Contact LG if you're still under warranty, or bring the phone to a repair shop.

I just fixed my LG optimus f6 with unresponsive touch screen.
I already had a cwm backup.
1)boot into recovery mode
2)select backup and restore
3)select advanced backup from ext SD
4)restore cache backup only first
5)then restore system only

That's it.
Kindly reply if this works for you.
