OK cool. I was just checking.....and yes. If the Nexus 4 and possibly the Samsung S3, there is nooooooo reason that the Optimus G shouldn't get it. This phone (Optimus G) BLOWS the S3 out of the water. My wife has an S3 and it is fairly laggy compared to my Opyimus G. If this phone gets 4.4, LG will have created a monster phone!! C'Mon LG....Help us all out and prove you are the true inventors of a truly Smart, Smartphone!!!!!

Count me in. I had contacted LG in Australia and this was their response on the 17th October, 2013:

"At the current moment LG does not have an expect release date for any Android operating systems updates nor can we confirm which particular models will be eligible for the update. We suggest you check back with us in the coming month for more information once it becomes available.
Should you have any further questions regarding your LG product, please do not hesitate to contact us either via email, or alternatively you can call the LG Customer Information Centre"

i'm an optimus g user from the philippines, and i think that it is a time for us lgog users to be heard by lg.. lgog was a great phone, i chose it compares to the xperia z, for i thought lgog was nice and it really was, the only downside is all phones now are having the latest update by their respective manufacturing so why not lg giving lgog its' much anticipated update... so COUNT ME IN

LG needs to realize that smart phones are different than computer monitors... users expect upgrades for a reasonable period of time.

If LG would have done updates in a timely manner, I would think about getting the G2, but early next year I'm dumping the Optimus G for the Nexus 5. Having a Nexus 7 makes it difficult to not have a Nexus phone when you get updates very quickly.

Well with only around 35 e-signatures yet over 2000 views this petition isn't going to exactly win over LG maybe if everyone who viewed it also "signed" it we mite be getting somewhere... Sorry for the bluntness but if we all want the update then we all should put in the effort I can't take this to LG we obviously need a lot more signatures at least 1000 before itd even be feasible to take to LG with hopes of getting anywhere come on guys put your 2 cents in here help get us updated!..
