LG Optimus ME P350 Help plz

I recently purchased an LG Optimus ME P350, being new to smart phones, this is my first one, I bought it unlocked. I use the at&t $50 unlimited talk/text/data plan, not knowing when i purchased the phone and that it was unlocked that not all the at&t services would not work especially the data. I called at&t about it and they said since the phone is unllocked and not of their system that the data could not work. I can't download pics from texts or use the facebook ap. My question is, is there anyway to get these functions to work without buying a phone through at&t? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should ask is for their Access Point Name... I bought the same phone, unlocked and I use it overseas... Ask for the carrier's APN and you should be good to go...
