lg optimus s root help really needed

hey guys im newbie and i need help rooting my lg optimus s im on an iMAC i'm following instructions according to mflmike but i seem to get caught up on the command where it says my name/tools it will copy and paste and when i press enter in the command box it says directory not found.

not sure what you are talking about specifically... Have you tried to do it from your phone instead of your mac??

yah jon is right do it from your phone there is a thread about rooting, custom recovery and flashing straight from your phone, if your on V9 baseband i can help you right now

If you just want an easy button go for the SNAP yo. It works wonders, ive used it many times now. Hopefully you can figure it out
