Lg Optimus S update

I was trying to update to the new GB but kept getting a download error. I unrooted and still got the same message..i reset to factory settings and it doesnt show the new GB update available anymore. What I do wrong?

make sure you have stock recovery ( V9) if you want to root, then download the update zip located in the how to root VH thead, make sure its named Update (should be a zip file) , place the zip file in the root of the SD card, reboot to recovery (again, must be stock recovery) and update using update.zip
