LG pad 8.3 Where is the recycle bin in this tablet? How can I get rid of unwanted items?

I have just bought it, and it was impossible to find the recycle bin. When it is mentioned in the instructions: Press the icon and drag it to the bin. I downloaded one from google play, but it doesn't work properly.

Welcome to Android Central! There is no Recycle Bin like in Windows. What are you trying to remove? Are you trying to remove an app shortcut or widget from the homescreen, or are you trying to completely uninstall an app?

To remove a shortcut or widget from the homescreen, long-press the item, then drag it to the Remove area or garbage can icon at the top of the screen.

Thanks a bunch, I was looking for the icon. Didn't know that after a long press the icon appears.
