LG pre-order needs to hurry

Any word in when VZW will have this phone?
I asked one of their reps yesterday. Not only did she not know, she said that they typically aren't told pre-order release dates until the day before. She also said they typically find out on their own online before hearing it through official channels. Lol

The durability of this phone is astonishing, I guess LG doesn't want our money?
Ironic isn't it? A huge opportunity only taken advantage of by Apple. I luv the Note 7, but would consider the V20 due to the uncharted situation with the Note 7.

I agree this is probably accurate (switches to Kanye West voice)BUT WHO THE FREAK SIGNED OFF ON ANNOUNCING THE V20 LESS THAN 24 HOURS OF THE IPHONE LAUNCH? How? How?(switches back to regular voice) They should have waited altogether instead of launching the phone, not telling us how to watch the live stream, and not giving us more information about the phone they launched. This is the kinda stuff that makes me (almost) not want the phone at all. Still getting mine though.lol

I thought LG announced the V20 event back in late July/early August? When did Apple announce they would be having their event?

If LG set the V20 announcement date before the iPhone 7 announcement and knew the date ahead of time, then yeah it was a pretty stupid move on their part.

Point is having a launch with no availability and price information is verging on dumb.

They probably wanted to get ahead of the 'dual camera' thing.. IPhone users will think that Apple invented it.

I will have to agree with it being dumb. You have a keynote and all that and still have yet to say when we can expect it and all that? I don't get it.

Obviously something happened for them to not to release that information at the 9/6 event. Either something in manufacturing with the hardware, the software or it was Apple's iPhone 7 announcement.

I just looked back and LG announced they were having the V20 event on August 4th. Apple announced they were having the iPhone 7 event on August 10th. So LG had their date planned before Apple did. It's a tough deal for LG...the G5 failed and they need the V20 to be successful and they sandwich their event inbetween the Note 7 release and the iPhone 7 announcement. It probably would have been best for them to delay announcement of the phone until the end of September/early October.

Or they could have capitalized on this Note 7 issue and got the phone out. I have read some people are holding onto the Note 7 still so they can get the LG V20.

One of two things. They are testing for bootloops or they purchased batteries from Samsung

I feel this may not be far from the truth. I doubt we'll ever know for sure their reasons, but it's possible they discovered an issue and needed some wiggle room to make sure it's ironed out. I'd rather see a company do that than to push it out as scheduled and hope for the best.

They know Apple launches a new iPhone around the first week of September. Every single year. If we know it. They *should know it.

Well this comes from the same company that gave us the G5, and touted its "friends modules", and then decides to only release one meaningless module in the USA, the worthless camera grip. All that hoopla and advertisement for nothing.

True but not all of the friends are modules
